The CMI Level 5 Qualifications in Professional Consulting (RQF) have been developed by Chartered Management Institute (CMI) in cooperation with the Institute of Consulting (IC).

These qualifications are designed for Professional Consultants who want to develop their strategic skills with consulting such as organisational structure and culture, entry and diagnosis, communicating strategies for consulting and group dynamics and facilitating skills. The equivalent academic level is HND/Degree level.

Our courses are designed to accommodate work-life balance: flexible start dates, flexible timetables, no classroom attendance and assessment by assignments only, no examinations. All students are allocated a qualified CMI Online distance learning tutor.

Assessment

  • Award (1 Unit), Certificate (3 Units) or Diploma Level (c.6 Units)
  • RQF Level 5 is regarded in academic terms as being equivalent to a Foundation Degree and Higher National Diploma (HND)
  • Your Diploma in Professional Consulting is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), as are the Award and Certificate
  • Nationally recognised: all credits earned are transferable to other university or college programmes within a similar discipline
  • Completion of a written assignment per Unit (word count per assignment up to c.1000 words) – no examinations

Subjects

CMI Level 5 Award in professional consulting (5A26V2) Learners need to complete any combination of units to a minimum of 7 credits. The minimum Total Qualification Time is 70 hours, including 30 Guided Learning Hours.

CMI Level 5 Certificate in professional consulting (5C26V2) Learners need to complete any combination of units to a minimum of 13 credits. The minimum Total Qualification Time is 130 hours, including 55 Guided Learning Hours.

CMI Level 5 Diploma in professional consulting (5D26V2) Learners must complete all mandatory units to a total of 25 credits and three optional units to a minimum of 18 credits to achieve this qualification. The minimum Total Qualification Time is 430 hours, including 180 Guided Learning Hours.
