Entry requirements

Learners taking this 18th Edition training must be at least 18 years old.

There are no formal entry requirements for the qualifications. However, learners must be capable of completing all aspects of the qualification, which will include basic knowledge of electrical science.

To successfully complete the qualification, you will need to possess the minimum levels of literacy and numeracy required to meet learning outcomes and complete the assessment.

Assessment

The 18th edition qualification will be assessed via a multiple-choice online test conducted in our training centre.

This is an open-book assessment, and learners can reference the IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition: BS 7671:2018 (2022) book, which is provided at the cost of your training.

On the on-screen test, you must answer 60 questions in 120 minutes.

During the exam, you will be able to use a non-programmable calculator.

Assessment Pass Mark

To pass the exam and gain the award, you must achieve a 60% or above score.
